Heather Surla

Heather has 13 years of mortgage experience that includes pricing, sales & operations, systems integration, and process design & improvement. Prior to returning to the Iron Range to raise her family, Heather was a Senior Vice-President at Bank of America, where she received the Award of Excellence for “Doing the Right Thing”.

Heather is a graduate of VHS and Augsburg College and has worked in the area’s school districts for several years. She enjoys using her cooking and baking skills to fundraise for local groups such as St. Michael's Rehab, Olcott Park Greenhouse, Children's Memorial Fund, and Bill's House, and is a member of the Finnish Ladies of Kaleva. Heather is also a singer/songwriter, plays in a band, and is active in promoting and supporting live local music.

Heather is excited to again be working in mortgage, this time here at American Bank, where she can combine her industry knowledge with her passion for serving the community.
